CAZADOR STREET
This projects entails a renovation for the landscape in the back and front of the house. We will be replacing an existing retaining wall, building a new retaining wall with new steps, paths and plant materials as well as a "living wall" which will use plant materials to cover a retaining wall in the back of the property.
LANDSCAPE PLAN
DESIGN STRATEGY
This strategy uses straight paths and walls to create a design with four separate landings and uses a more formal language, pairs of trees at each garden and a pair of concrete steps which connect the upper and lower gardens.
PATIO 1-is the lower patio with colored concrete paving, a curved planter with a site and a rounded tree well to preservce the existing magnolia tree.
PATIO 2 is the lower patio behind the house. The bricks are to be removed and replaced in this area with new concrete and a tree well.
PATIO 3 (lower garden) is the first of the upper two patio landings. This area has areas for planters and a guardrail at the top of the existing, angled, retaining wall which will be maintained. There is also a pair of trees flanking each side of the garden. The ground surface is flagstone pavers with turf grass
between.
PATIO 4 is connected by a pair of wide concrete steps. The upper garden ground surface is colored concrete. The borders are planters with native plant materials and a pair of tree wells flanking each side of the garden.
STREET VIEW
This is the street view of the property. The new landscaping and site walls will greatly improve the quality of spaces at this home.
