We are adding a second story to this existing, single level home in Pasadena.

This image shows how the previous house looked before demolition. This area will now have large sliding doors and a roof overhang for a large patio cover in the backyard.

This is the front view of the house before much of it was demolished in preparation for the new second story addition.

This image shows the current condition of the house after the walls and roof have been removed.

This image also shows the current state of the project. Demolition has been completed now we are working toward excavation around the house for the new foundations to support the new second floor.

The second floor is now apparent and shows a deep, horizontal roofline and black framed windows.

The back of the house is also taking shape. The upper story shows the master suite and roofline, below are the large sliding doors and the large patio cover which will connect the house to the backyard and pool area.

The new stairway with vaulted ceiling.

This is the new stair with a vaulted ceiling. There are many windows and lots of natural light.

The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, a walk in closet and a master bathroom suite.

The three main spaces are coming along. The spaces for the living room, kitchen and family room are shown here.

This image shows the entry living room looking towards the back of the house into the kitchen and family room areas. The natural light is very good good after our renovation.
